A WSJ report on Sunday revealed that Apple and Meta have had discussions about a potential partnership when it comes to AI features. More specifically, it seems Meta wanted to bring its own AI chatbot to iOS 18 – but it turns out that Apple had reportedly rejected such a partnership.

As announced by Apple at WWDC 2024, iOS 18 officially brings support for RCS – or Rich Communication Services – to the iPhone. However, as we previously reported, the feature doesn’t seem to be available to beta users. Unfortunately, iOS 18 beta users might have to wait a bit longer before they can enable RCS on their iPhone.

Digital artist and developer Kabel Cadle has spotted a handy new feature in iPadOS 18. For the first time, you can format external drives on an iPad, choosing between three different format options. Update: The same option is also available on the iPhone in iOS 18.
