一首流行音樂竟然能導致筆電崩潰？這可不是都市傳說。微軟資深工程師 Raymond Chen 日前再次分享這段聽起來匪夷所思、但技術上成立的奇聞：珍娜·傑克森（Janet Jackson）1989 年的歌曲《Rhythm Nation》曾經真的讓部分筆電系統崩潰，甚至還被官方列為資訊安全漏洞！

《Rhythm Nation》為何會搞垮筆電？

故事起源於 2022 年一篇由 Raymond Chen 撰寫的部落格文章。他指出，在播放《Rhythm Nation》時，某些老款筆電中的 2.5 吋 5400RPM 機械硬碟 會產生「共振」，導致硬碟讀寫異常甚至故障，進一步造成系統當機。

經過測試，這首歌中的某些聲波頻率與硬碟的自然共振頻率相近，形成「聲學共振」效應。這些頻率被推測落在 0~5000Hz 之間，可能包括 12.5Hz、87.5Hz、1100Hz 等幾個特定點。

由於該問題可導致遠端或本地攻擊（只需播放音檔即可），這個案例於 2022 年被 MITRE 正式列入資訊安全漏洞資料庫，漏洞編號為：CVE-2022-38392，堪稱史上最具音樂感的資安漏洞。

微軟如何處理這個「音樂漏洞」？

為了解決這個問題，微軟在 Windows 系統中導入了 APO（Audio Processing Object，音訊處理物件） 作為防護措施。APO 屬於一種數位訊號處理（DSP）技術，可在音訊播放時過濾特定頻率，防止觸發共振。

但事情並未就此結束。Raymond Chen 日前透露，由於 Windows 7 之後加入「停用所有音訊增強功能」的選項，等於也關閉了對《Rhythm Nation》相關頻率的過濾器，讓原已封印的風險再次浮現。

這個問題主要影響搭載 2.5 吋傳統 HDD 的老款筆電。現今多數筆電已全面使用 SSD（固態硬碟），由於沒有機械轉動零件，自然不受聲波干擾。因此，現代系統不太需要擔心「被音樂攻擊」。此外，像 3.5 吋桌機硬碟因體積與重量較大，具備更強的阻尼效果，也較不容易受影響。

這提醒我們：漏洞不一定是來自惡意程式，有時甚至來自一首歌的低頻鼓點。

新研究破解長久誤會，電動車電池壽命超越傳統燃油車

在電動車普及化的道路上，電池壽命一直是批評聲浪的焦點之一，許多燃油車支持者時常聲稱電動車電池無法持久，但根據英國車輛數據公司 Geotab 最新的研究顯示，這種說法並不成立。該研究以超過 10,000 輛電動車為對象，結果顯示，目前電動車的高壓電池在正常使用情況下，平均每年僅衰減 1.8% 的容量。以 20 年使用期計算，仍能保有約 64% 的原始續航力，遠超過美國汽車平均車齡的 14 年。

該研究指出，電動車電池的衰減並非線性進行，通常在使用初期出現較明顯的容量下降，但之後的變化趨於緩和，直到使用末期才會再加速老化。此外，地區氣候對電池壽命影響重大，尤其是高溫環境容易加速電池退化。因此，建議使用者在充電或停車時盡量將車輛停放於陰涼處，即使現在的電動車幾乎都已內建先進的電池熱管理系統，但適當降溫依然能提升壽命與穩定性。

直流快充也會對電池壽命造成輕微影響，雖然這種差異對大多數車主而言可能微乎其微，但若能以緩慢充電取代快充，對於延緩衰退仍有幫助。此外，對於使用 NMC 或 NCM 電池的車型，將電池充電維持在 20% 到 80% 的範圍內，更能有效延長使用年限；至於 LFP 電池則較不受此限制，但也有研究指出，頻繁將其充至 100% 亦會略微縮短壽命。

在科技進步之下，電動車電池的壽命將會更長，這將讓人購入電動車的意願更高。

除了一般衰退外，部分使用者關心的電池整體故障風險也是重點之一。針對此點，Geotab 的研究給出明確答案，過去十年間的電動車，其電池整體故障率僅為 0.5% 以下，屬於極低風險等級。也就是說，大部分電動車用戶在車輛的使用壽命期間內，都不會遇到嚴重的電池故障問題，此結果也澄清了「電動車電池用兩三年就報廢」的常見誤解。

儘管如此，與傳統汽車一樣，電池仍會隨時間老化，即使車輛長期不使用，容量也會自然下降。這與燃油車中橡膠管線與幫浦隨時間老化的情形相似，現今的電動車已在熱管理與電池控制技術方面取得進展，只要適度管理充電行為與環境條件，電池壽命可輕鬆延長至 20 年以上。

這項研究的結論不僅回應了消費者對電動車壽命的質疑，也為正考慮轉向電動車的潛在買家提供信心。隨著技術成熟與數據透明，電池壽命不再是電動車的致命缺點，而是逐漸成為其可靠性的一部分。當今的電動車電池若依照建議使用，壽命可超過二十年，而這正是傳統燃油車難以比擬的優勢。未來隨著材料與電池管理技術的持續進步，電動車勢必成為更具吸引力與可持續性的交通選擇。

這項設計是為了因應「基地台模擬器」（又稱偽基地台、Stingray）的安全威脅。這類裝置會偽裝成正常的電信基地台，吸引手機自動連線，進而取得使用者的位置資訊與裝置識別碼（如 IMEI）。據報導，包括美國海關與移民執法單位等機構過去曾使用此技術進行監控。

什麼是 Stingray？基地台模擬器背後的監控技術解析

所謂的「Stingray」，是一種基地台模擬器（Cell-site Simulator），本質上是能偽裝成行動網路基地台的裝置。當它啟動時，會誘使附近手機自動連線，就像連上正常的電信基地台一樣。然而，一旦連上 Stingray，使用者的手機位置、通話內容、簡訊，甚至唯一識別碼（IMEI、IMSI）等資訊，都有可能被監控或蒐集。

Stingray 最早由美國 Harris Corporation 所開發，其商品名稱也叫 StingRay，因此成為這類設備的通用代稱。原本主要供執法單位如 FBI、國土安全部、美國移民與海關執法局等使用，用於鎖定特定目標，但也因此引發大規模隱私爭議。

由於 Stingray 模擬的是早期 2G 或 3G 等加密薄弱的行動網路，若手機仍允許連接舊型網路，就可能無預警遭其誘導連線。為此，Google 在 Android 16 中新增「2G 網路保護」與「未加密網路警告」等設定項目，以避免用戶在不知情下暴露隱私。

新版 Android 16 系統將包含名為「網路通知」的設定選項，一旦手機連上未加密網路、或對方主動索取識別資料，系統會即時跳出警示。這些功能目前已隨 Android 16 測試版釋出，正式版預計將隨 Pixel 10 等新裝置首波登場，後續才會擴及其他相容設備。

第三方首發表現超越前代，佔比近四成

有投資人認為鑰匙卡缺乏吸引力，恐抑制玩家購買意願，但根據市場研究機構 Circana（前 NPD）執行董事 Matt Piscatella 分享的數據，美國市場中 Switch 2 上市首週第三方實體遊戲銷售已占總體近 40%，遠高於初代 Switch 首月不到 20% 的比例。

整體來看，Switch 2 第三方軟體首波銷售約為初代的兩倍。不過 Piscatella 也提醒，主機上市時間尚短、遊戲樣本仍有限，對第三方成敗下定論仍言之過早。

任天堂則重申，會持續協助第三方夥伴在 Switch 2 平台上取得成功，並致力打造一個讓原創遊戲與外部開發者都能發光發熱的環境。

不過根據《Windows Latest》等外媒揭露，這項數據的測試方式頗有水分，令人難以信服。

根據報導，微軟這項「速度比較」測試於2024年12月進行，參考的是Geekbench 6多核心效能測試。不過問題在於，測試用的Windows 10電腦為搭載Intel i7-8750H與i5-6200U等老舊處理器的機種，而Windows 11測試則使用i7-1355U與Core Ultra 5 125H等最新處理器。

如此一來，硬體規格天差地遠，無論哪個版本的作業系統，測出來的效能差距自然也會天差地遠，將此用來作為作業系統間的性能比較，無疑是混淆視聽。

而根據外媒Tom's Hardware的報導，則是簡單明瞭的寫出了，快2.3倍的不是Windows 11，而是這些裝了Windows 11的硬體。 

更令人傻眼的是，微軟還將這樣的數據堂而皇之地寫入官方文件，用以說服使用者升級系統，可說是誤導性極高。

除了速度外，微軟還透過類似的「硬體不對等」對比，得出以下結論：

  • Windows 11筆電的電池續航力平均比Windows 10筆電多2.7小時；

  • 網頁瀏覽效能（Speedometer測試）提升3.2倍；

  • 辦公生產力（Procyon Office Benchmark）速度提高2倍。

儘管數據看似誘人，但測試方式是否真能反映作業系統的實際差異，恐怕需自行判斷。
