AI 瀏覽器全面免費開放
起初 Comet 瀏覽器原先僅限於每月 200 美元的 Perplexity Max 訂閱用戶使用，後續才逐步開放給 Pro 用戶。然而，由於市場反應熱烈、申請體驗人數短時間內突破數百萬，官方最終於上月宣布全面免費開放下載與使用，無論是 Windows 或 macOS 使用者都能直接體驗 AI 驅動的瀏覽新模式。
最後，「多工任務系統」則是讓 Comet 效率大幅躍升的關鍵。它能同時啟動多個代理並行工作，例如可以在 Gemini 或 ChatGPT 一次生成多張圖片，讓原本需要逐一執行的任務變成同步進行，對於需要跨平台、多來源資訊整合的使用情境，不僅節省時間，更將 AI 的價值延伸至實際工作層面。

不可忽視的安全性隱憂

Comet 與傳統瀏覽器差異之處
雖說現有許多主流瀏覽器紛紛導入 A I 功能， 如 Microsoft Edge 先前也已將Copilot 加入側邊欄，讓使用者能隨時呼叫聊天機器人，但實際上仍只是開啟一個「AI 對話視窗」，頂多能幫忙摘要網頁或回答問題，並沒有真正「參與」使用者的操作過程。而 Comet 則完全不同，它不只是把 AI 放進瀏覽器，而是能讓 AI 直接操控瀏覽器，舉例來說，當使用者想要生成一張圖片時，以往需要先打開 ChatGPT 或 Gemini，再手動輸入提示詞、等待生成、調整內容，若要多做幾張，就得重複同樣流程數次。而在 Comet 中，使用者只需自行登入一次 ChatGPT 帳號，之後在對話框輸入一句多工生圖指令，AI 助手便會替你自動開啟多個小型瀏覽視窗執行，一口氣將圖片生成出來。
免費版與付費版功能有所不同
雖然現今 Comet AI 瀏覽器已供所有使用者免費下載體驗，但實際上，免費版與付費方案之間仍存在明顯差異。其中，免費版的 Comet 主要聚焦在「側邊 AI 助理」的應用體驗，讓使用者在瀏覽任意網站時，能即時呼叫 AI 進行內容摘要、解讀與導覽，甚至協助整理筆記或快速理解文章重點，不過，使用上仍僅限於部分 Perplexity 網頁功能，並且每次新開的分頁會自動導向回 Perplexity 的主頁，多多少少限制了更深層的操作彈性。相對地，訂閱 Perplexity Pro、Max 或 Enterprise 的付費用戶，則能解鎖更強大的模型算力與進階功能。以 Max 方案為例，除了能切換不同 AI 模型進行高階推理外，還新增了「電子郵件助理」與「背景助理」兩大亮點。前者能依據使用者的語氣風格自動撰寫信件、整理收件匣內容、排定會議，甚至直接回覆郵件；後者則能在背景中同時處理多項非同步任務，例如搜尋機票、加購演唱會門票或比價購物，並在任務完成後主動回報結果，功能完整性更上一層樓。
下載安裝時，可直接使用 Google 帳號或 Apple 帳號登入，貼心的是，當使用Google 帳戶登入時，系統會主動詢問是否要將原在 Chrome 瀏覽器中所加入的書籤、外掛與設定一鍵匯入，爾後 Comet 介面幾乎與原本慣用的瀏覽器一樣，完全無需重新適應。Comet 瀏覽器首頁中央的輸入框就像 Perplexity 網站一樣，能直接對 AI 提問、搜尋與生成內容；而右上角的「AI 助手」按鈕點擊後會開啟側邊欄，可即時與 AI 對話、請它分析資料、整理報告，甚至用語音直接對話，讓你邊瀏覽邊完成工作。
產業分析師指出，Meta 這一連串動作顯示公司正從耗資巨大的「全沉浸式元宇宙」困境中抽離。Reality Labs 自 2021 年以來已累積虧損超過 700 億美元，現在 Meta 決定將策略重心與資源，全面轉向目前更熱門且具備成功潛力的 AI 智慧眼鏡（如 Ray-Ban Meta 系列）以及行動端 AI 工具。
對於已經投注 Meta 辦公生態系的企業來說，這次衝擊不小。Meta 早前已宣布其企業社群軟體 Workplace 將於 2026 年 6 月徹底關閉，現在連 VR 辦公的核心平台也迅速「被下架」，直接宣告了 Meta 退出企業級元宇宙市場的決心。
隨著 Horizon Workrooms 熄燈，那個「戴著笨重 VR 眼鏡，在虛擬世界裡面對面開會」的未來，似乎已不再是 Meta 追逐的明天了。
相較於當年的搜尋引擎，Aaron French 認為如今生成式 AI 帶來的影響更為深遠。搜尋引擎仍需要使用者自行判讀、比較與思考結果，但 ChatGPT 不僅能提供資訊，還能直接生成、分析與總結內容，某種程度上已開始「代替人類思考」。
Aaron French 表示，當人們將越來越多的認知任務外包給 AI，確實有可能削弱批判性思考、問題解決能力與深度理解的能力。雖然目前相關研究仍有限，但長期被動接受 AI 生成內容，可能降低求知慾、縮短注意力，甚至造成對 AI 的依賴。
警惕「達克效應」：留在「愚蠢山峰」的風險
為了進一步說明潛在風險，Aaron French 引用了心理學中的「達克效應」（Dunning-Kruger Effect）。該理論指出，知識或能力不足的人，往往對自身表現抱持過度自信，原因在於他們難以察覺自己的不足。
Aaron French 認為，生成式 AI 可能在無形中放大這種現象。部分使用者僅是重複 AI 產出的內容，卻誤以為自己已充分理解相關議題，進而高估自身能力。他將 AI 使用者大致分為兩種情況：
一類使用者：停留在「愚蠢山峰（Peak of Mount Stupid）」，將 AI 視為思考與創意的替代品。
另一類使用者：將 AI 作為輔助工具，用以強化既有能力、激發好奇心與促進思考。
他強調，生成式 AI 本身並非必然帶來負面影響，真正的關鍵在於使用方式。若不加思索地接受 AI 的輸出，可能導致智識上的怠惰；但若將 ChatGPT 視為輔助工具，用來釐清複雜概念、延伸問題與促進討論，反而能強化人類的思考能力。
未來職場：被 AI 取代，還是與 AI 協作？
在談及未來職場時，Aaron French 表示，ChatGPT 在短短兩個月內就吸引超過一億名使用者，顯示生成式 AI 已站在改變工作型態的十字路口。雖然很多人都說「AI 不會取代你的工作，但會用 AI 的人會」，不過 Aaron French 認為，單純用 AI 取代自身思考能力的人，反而最容易被取代；真正具競爭力的，將是那些懂得與 AI 協作、善用其優勢來放大自身能力的人。
文章最後，Aaron French 將問題重新拋回給使用者本身。他表示，與其問「ChatGPT 是否會讓我們變笨」，不如思考「我們要如何利用 ChatGPT 讓自己變得更聰明」。答案，不在於科技本身，而在於人類的選擇與態度。
不過 AI 也不是神，總會有看走眼的時候。如果身為成年人的你被系統誤判成小孩怎麼辦？OpenAI 也有準備申訴管道。使用者可以透過身份驗證合作夥伴 Persona 上傳自拍照來驗明正身，解鎖被封印的成人帳號功能。只是這也延伸出另一個問題：想要看更自由的內容，就得交出更多隱私照片，這其中的取捨就看使用者買不買單了。
蘋果與 Google 先前拋出震撼彈，宣布達成多年合作協議，下一代 Siri 與 Apple Intelligence 將由 Google Gemini 驅動。天風國際知名分析師郭明錤對此分析，這項合作背後透露出蘋果正承受極大的短期壓力，不得不選擇這條務實的道路。
WWDC 的背水一戰
郭明錤在社群平台 X 指出，蘋果在自行研發 AI 路上遭遇兩大短期挑戰。首先是時間壓力：今年的 WWDC 全球開發者大會，蘋果的 AI 展示絕對不容許再次失敗或延宕；其次是標準提升：隨著雲端 AI 技術突飛猛進，使用者對 AI 服務的品質要求早已不同以往。郭明錤認為，就算蘋果達成當初對 Apple Intelligence 與 Siri 的承諾，放在現今標準來看可能也已經不夠看，因此急需更強大的裝置端 AI 模型撐場。
雖然郭明錤預期裝置端 AI 短期內難以直接拉升硬體出貨量，但與 Google 聯手能有效緩解市場與使用者的負面評論壓力。
