STEP ONE: FIND A MANAGER – Gordy and her punk band, Dead Pets, have been playing together for… a while, and have never made it big. Heading into their 30s, their personal responsibilities and the band’s uncertain future is looming over them. Do they have what it takes to give Dead Pets one last shot at success?
STEP TWO: WRITE A KILLER EP – Dead Pets is a feminist, management-lite, minigame-heavy, slice-of-life, narrative game; about music, friendship, and maturing. Playing as Gordy, you’ll go to band practice, manage Gordy’s finances, her wellbeing, and try to find enough time and money to cover… well, everything. Gordy’s life is a mess. Decide where Gordy’s priorities lie to shape the future of the band. With different endings, you’ll have the chance to help Gordy grow in a ton of different ways.
STEP THREE: ACE THE FESTVIAL – Long-term friendships can be messy, especially when everyone grows up at their own pace. Can you stop a job, a relationship or a lifestyle from hurting the band? On top of everything else, the band’s first taste of success comes at the cost of Gordy’s mental health and physical wellbeing. Just how much is she willing to sacrifice for fame? Or for justice?
