Apple appears to have left FireWire support out of macOS Tahoe 26 developer preview 1, and it remains to be seen if it will be added back.

On August 22, 2001, Apple won a Primetime Engineering Emmy for FireWire, high-speed serial port technology that sparked a video revolution.
