Yet another automaker reaffirms no plans to support Apple’s CarPlay Ultra

Following a long delay, CarPlay Ultra launched a couple of months ago, delivering the much-anticipated tighter integration between the iPhone and car systems promised during WWDC 2022.

And while Apple had originally lined up several automakers to support the new experience, some have since backed away. Now, one holdout is doubling down on its decision to pass on the feature.

Messages on iOS 26 will make it harder to fall for phishing scams

While even tech-savvy users can fall for elaborate phishing scams, most attacks are designed to target less technically inclined people.

With that in mind, the new Messages app in iOS 26 introduces (or better yet, removes) two things that could make a pretty big difference in keeping users safe, regardless of how familiar they may be with phishing tactics.

iOS 26 code hints at a sleep score feature for Apple Watch

If you use a third-party sleep tracker with your Apple Watch, you’re probably familiar with the concept of a sleep score: an index that combines signals like heart rate variation and sleep stages, to tell you how efficient your sleep really was.

And while the Apple Watch gained native sleep tracking with watchOS 7, it’s been missing that kind of score. Not for long, as it may turn out.

WhatsApp streamlines in-app support process

If you’ve ever tried to get in-app support on WhatsApp, you know the process used to start with filling out a form, possibly attaching a few files, and waiting for a support rep to eventually get in touch.

Now, that form is on its way out, and the screening process is, you guessed it, becoming AI-based. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
